Privacy Policy
Last updated 25 July 2026
Little Corkboard is a family planner app. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it to what the app actually needs to work — we don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who we are
Little Corkboard ("we", "us") provides the Little Corkboard mobile and web apps. For any privacy question, contact us at privacy@littlecorkboard.app.
Information we collect
- Account details. Your email address and a securely hashed password, so you can sign in and keep your board across devices.
- Your family board. The content you add — planner tasks, events, notes, reminders, family members' names and ages/school year, pets, and an optional family photo. You choose what to enter.
- Location (optional). If you use the "Nearby" feature, we use your device location or a postcode you enter to find family ideas near you. You can use the app without sharing location, and you can clear a saved location at any time in Settings.
- Voice dictation (optional). When you record a "voice dump", your speech is transcribed to text on your device. Only the resulting text is sent to our service to be turned into planner notes — the audio itself is not uploaded or stored by us.
- Subscription status. If you buy Little Corkboard Plus, our payments provider tells us whether your subscription is active. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details.
- Basic usage counts.Small counters (e.g. how many brain dumps you've used this month) so free-plan limits work.
How we use it
To provide and sync your board, turn dictated or typed brain dumps into planner notes, show ideas near you, manage subscriptions, and keep the service secure and working. We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers we share with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the app. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles sign-in. Your account and board are stored here.
- OpenAI — turns the text of your brain dump into structured planner notes. Only the text you dictate or type for that feature is sent, and it is not used to train their models.
- RevenueCat and Apple — process and manage subscriptions and payments.
- OpenStreetMap— provides the map data behind "Nearby". Only an approximate location is used to look up places; your identity is not shared.
Sharing within a family
If you invite a co-parent to your board, they can see and edit the same family content. Anyone you invite becomes an equal member of the board.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your account and personal data; if no other member remains on your family board, the board is deleted too. You can also email us at privacy@littlecorkboard.app to request access to or deletion of your data.
Children
Little Corkboard is intended for parents and carers to organise family life. It is not directed to children as users. Any details about children (such as names or school year) are entered by the adult managing the board.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access to your board is restricted to you and any family members you invite. No service can be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
